All my works, grouped in different series
A photo. Always the same.... but different. Natural architecture vs. that of man. Thoughts, ideas and what relationship there is between both worlds. What is underneath what we see, photograph? In the case of the fungus, a network of connections that feed nature. But beyond the 'real', underneath the photo are the ideas, the thoughts, an intricate network invisible but as real as the real. Above nature, architecture. Below the world of ideas, emotions, dreams. And how do they come together? .
Exploring the thin line between what is white and what is black, what is drawing and what is painting, what is real and what is imagination. A kind of transition period in my art to transform my work. And it all started with a pencil. Eliminating color opened up a world of infinite nuances for me.
This series is composed of a set of related works by colors, sizes, themes, which invite us to feel and imagine enjoying spatial sensations, textures, and bits of nature.
The works are separated on their frames, but together. In the same way that we live in times of pandemic more and more together, more connected while we stay apart.
This is an introspective series. An invitation to discover the important, the truthful, the essential.
The tangled vegetation speaks to us of nature and change of seasons.
The search for balance unraveling desire, simplifying realities, by expanding spaces of light. Make decisions, choose the path between black / white. The essential is what really matters. What brings calmness and balance to the mind.
In this series I play with 'the Law of Attraction', with Premonitions. I paint what I intend to achieve, I paint prospectively so that when I capture it on the canvas it has already been achieved. Collage with photos taken in places that I want to reach, textures to generate the desire to touch, to be part of a work that comes to life. I use vibrant colors to express the energy put into those dreams, in every way. This series is like a nod between my work and me, between my work and my dreams and desires; where roads bifurcate or intersect, offering infinite alternatives and textures. The Delta del Tigre is the protagonist in several works of this series, a continuous inspirer of colors and shapes. Land that is armed and disarmed, the constant change and what is to come ...
This series coexists with the change of decade in my life and therefore it disarms to build new paths. Choose, re-elect, change, venture. All transmitted in the various vanishing points of the work, the superimposed paths, the realities in transparency. Search for new palettes of color -more vibrant-, contractors, different materials that invite you to feel like touching the work. Light as opportunities that appear through doors or through skylights. The process of creating the work is pure energy, it is liberated but it also reinvents itself and creates realities.
A magnifying glass in their own world; others, known and unknown. An internal exploration of desires, focuses and chosen angles.
I share in this series, 'Internal Worlds', the journey of discovery that does not cease to be life itself. Neutral colors as the calmness of the journey itself, of the introspective transfer, doze mixing images traveled and desired.
Lights and strong, warm colors wake us up and invite us to stay longer, to vibrate.
The collage, interspersed with acrylic and inks, takes us by the hand through those thoughts full of fragmented images. Where not everything is worth being told, where experience and memories are completed.
On each new journey I take I reinvent my world, I reinvent my work; as in doing so I reinvent myself.
Pure joy and expectation, pure awe in the face of the unknown. A trip to meet and honor two great masters who were, without knowing it, muses for this series. The architecture of Frank Ghery and the works and engravings of Frank Stella, were a great inspiration. I followed them through different geographies. I photographed each angle.
Architecture that looks like sculpture, sculpture that claims to be 3D painting. Nothing is what it seems ...
In this series I play with the breaking of paradigms, of the must be’s. The forms are inspired by buildings and they mix, intersect and break. The lines go through the forms. An invitation to play, discover, be amazed. A decontracted and ironic dialogue with the viewer.
He who seeks, finds, enjoys, understands and remains alone with a one-way ticket.
A few strokes and colors that suggest more than they say. Pastel colors some, almost monochromatic others, they invite you to explore them in calmness, to know and to recognize them.
Almost a dreamlike memory of them.
Landscapes in which to get lost.
In these works I use the incomplete image of a bicycle as a symbol and not as a sign. As a message of movement, of effort, of curiosity about what will come. I have always been attracted to its shape, the enigma before an abandoned bicycle, leaning against a wall, in a waiting pose ... who for? ... what for?
The bicycle as a means of transfer, the transfer as an end and not as a means and these works as a means of communication.
Warm colors, sensual forms, accompanying sounds that invite pleasant evenings.
A cubist recreation with its own style.
